Job OPPORTUNITY: Graphic Designer
We are looking for a new designer to join our growing team at Pinc!
We want to find someone who has a passion for what we do. A big priority for us is to find someone who is 100% on board with what Pinc stands for, which is quality work based around excellent customer service. We love collaborating within our industry, and work with other graphic designers and other printers around New Zealand. Have a look through the website + our social media (links at the bottom of the page) to get an idea of what we do, and to see if our style appeals to you.
Pinc is a Silverdale-based business offering graphic design and printing services (digital and foil printing), and we manufacture pocketfold envelopes and paper products which are cut on site. You will be working alongside 4 other team members in existing design and production roles. We are looking for someone who wants to be a part of this growing business, and who fits well into our existing team. Please note that this is not an “arts and crafts” set up.
We are looking for an entry level/junior/early-intermediate designer – someone who is competent in Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign, with formal design training outside of high school. Machine operation is taught on site. This is a fast-paced environment and you will be expected to pick things up quickly. We design mainly for print here – lots of business cards/wedding & event invitations/logos/brochures. See your designs through to completion as we do our printing on site. This is not solely a design role – as we are a small team everyone is involved with the printing and finishing as well.
Tasks include –
Proofing provided files
Assembling pocketfolds and sleeves
Assembling print work
Assistance to the rest of the team as required
General office work
Pinc operates Monday to Friday between the hours of 8.30 – 5.30 pm
Depending on the applicant, the role can be between 20-40 hours per week across 4-5 days (days/times are negotiable). If starting part-time, the applicant will need to have capacity to work towards a full-time position.
Be competent in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
Have an eye for detail
Take a lot of pride in their work
Be able to follow instructions well and work independently
Be able to work well in a small team
Speak good English
Have a good work ethic
Be willing to learn
Be computer literate
Have a reasonable level of fitness
Be legally allowed to work in NZ
We have a 7 year old and 9 year old who will be around at times (mostly after school). If you don’t like children you need not apply.
If this sounds like you please send a cover letter explaining why you would be ideal for this role together with your CV to firstname.lastname@example.org. Any questions phone Conan (0274 146 228) or Margriet (0274 452 691).
Good luck, we look forward to hearing from you!
